Question 1

Is TradeQuote.ie really free for homeowners?

Accepted Answer

Yes, completely free. We are in launch phase and tradespeople join free too — you will never be asked for payment to post a job or receive quotes.

Question 2

How do you vet the tradespeople?

Accepted Answer

Registrations go through an automated review before going live. We do not verify insurance or tax compliance documents yet — that is being built out as the network grows. In the meantime, always ask a tradesperson to show you their certificates directly before agreeing to any work.

Question 3

How quickly will I receive quotes?

Accepted Answer

It depends on how many tradespeople are active in your trade and county right now — we are actively growing that network. Jobs are emailed instantly to every matching tradesperson the moment you post.

Question 4

Can I see a tradesperson's insurance certificate?

Accepted Answer

You can ask any tradesperson to show you their insurance and tax clearance certificates directly — we would recommend doing this before agreeing to any work. We are building certificate upload and verification into the platform.

Question 5

What trades are available on TradeQuote.ie?

Accepted Answer

TradeQuote.ie covers electricians, plumbers, builders, roofers, painters, landscapers, gas engineers, tilers, carpenters, bathroom fitters, kitchen fitters and more across all 26 Irish counties. Coverage in any given trade and county depends on who has registered so far.
